The second stage is activation with steam at a high temperature to enlarge the pore structure and to increase the internal surface area.
Their morphology, internal structure, elemental decomposition, porosity and electrochemical properties of the ACs were investigated.
It is hardly to observe porous structure on the surface of C500.
Several parameters of ACs have an influence on supercapacitor performance such as surface area, pore size, pore distribution, surface chemistry and intrinsic electronic conductivity.
The porous structures were entirely formed on the surface.

The AHL sample was studied by the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for a more detailed investigation of the structure.
SEM images show the formation of a layered structure in the sample (Fig. 2).
The peaks D (≈1355 cm–1) are associated with disordered and defective graphite structure [8].
Sonicated sample AHL-D loses it porous structure and its specific capacity become comparable to HL one (Fig. 7).

The immobilization process shown no effect on the membrane structure and it was stable to be used as a support in immobilization process.
Enzymatic hydrolysis performance of the mixed cellulase-amylase immobilized on the polymeric structure was determined.
The asymmetric porous structure, finger-like structure and tear-shaped elongated macrovoids which close to surface layer represented the significant influence of additives PVP.
The results have shown that, immobilized enzymes on the structure achieved its maximum activities at 50°C.

The mass crystal nucleus appearance promoted the short range structure increase, and the long range structure would be destroyed almost, and thus the real contact surface was increasing and further improved the h.e. catalytic activity of electrodes.
That means the amorphous short-range order structure and long-range order structure can give a better structure of hydrogen absorption and desorption.
This was due to the amorphous content combined with nanocrystal structure, lager contact surface and binding energy of Ni-Mo structure.

The crystalline phase in the films was identified to be the delafossite structure by X-ray diffraction.
In this delafossite structure, each Cu1+ ion linearly coordinated between two oxygen atoms, forming O-Cu-O dumbbells parallel to the c Axis.
This anisotropic geometrical arrangement of the structure should lead up to anisotropic transport and optical properties.
Until now, the optical measurements indicate that the delafossite structure composition CuAlO2 has indirect band gaps [13, 14].
It can be observed that the crystal structure of Ni-doped CuAlO2 samples is rhombohedral, along with diffraction peaks of the substrates of sapphire.

Powder distribution of the powders obtained at these experiments was determined with laser particle measurement device located at chemistry laboratory of Gazi University Engineering Faculty.
When figure 2 is examined, it can be seen that the dentritic powder structures varied as acicular, globular and tabular, which is similar to the findings in the literature.
At powder removal times of 30 and 490 minutes, a structure mostly dominated by globular dendrites was observable.
