A wide range of materials can be used in SLS, such as nylon, polycarbonate, ABS, sand, wax, metal and wood[5-7], but the high price of materials is the bottleneck to constraining widespread application of SLS, so reducing the cost of materials has always been a research focus.
The interaction between the laser beam and the RPC materials depends on the laser energy density distribution, as it nearly follows a Gaussian relationship.
