Material and Experiment Technique In accordance with the tasks as an object of research we selected low-carbon 18CrN3iMo engineering steel (0.16-0.18% C; 3.3% Ni; 0.9% Cr; 0.51% Mo; 0.44% Mn; 0.34% Si; 0.05% Al; 0.008% S; 0.012% P; 0.015% N; 0.1% O; 0.1% H) General State Standard (GOST) widely used in industry as drill bit drilling tool material.
Experimental studies and mechanical tests were performed in laboratory of research Institute "Nanotechnology and New Materials" in Regional University engineering profile laboratory "ІRGETAS" at D.Serikbaev East Kazakhstan State Technical University.
