Fig.1 The FTIR spectrum of the Si-O-C and Si- Hf-O- C gel
Fig.2 The SEM image of the SiOC/HfO2 ceramic composites
FTIR analysis (Fig. 1) of the Si-Hf-O-C gel crosslinked at 60 °C shows the absorption bands for C-H at 1388 cm-1 [15], Si-CH3 at 1268 and 853cm-1 [16], Si-C at 803 cm-1, and these functionalities are in agreement with the precursor chemistry of DMDES which has methyl functionalities.

Figure 1 FT-IR spectra of WCF and modified waste carbon fibers
Figure 2 presents the TGA thermograms of WCF and the prepared samples. The structure of the waste carbon fiber that had not been modified by microwave treatment was too stability to be pyrolyzed. The degradation of the surface structuresof the modified samples reduced their pyrolysis temperatures.

The well-known duplex scales of NiO change into a three-layered structure gradually with the increasing of temperature, where the outer columnar scale and inner equiaxed layer is separated by a Si-rich region, as shown in Fig.4d.

Abstract: Banana fibers received four treatments, namely squeezing, alkali and hydrogen peroxide
treatment, washing with water, and drying.
Fig.5 The effect of fiber contents on thermal stability of TPS. 4.Conclusions As enforcement, banana fiber could effectively improve the tensile strength, elastic modulus and thermal stability of TPS, because of their similarly chemical structure, making a good adhesion between starch and fiber.

It is well known that the dispersion of an active phase
on a carbon support depends not only on the surface area and porosity, but also on the chemistry of
the carbon surface
[11]
.
The surface area and pore structure of the activated carbon were determined by a Analyzer (America Micromerities Tristar 3000) on the nitrogen adsorption principle (at 77K).

only can save a great deal of concrete, and have good economy value, but also can reduces greatly
the danger resulting from the structure cracks due to hydration heat of concrete.
In fact, the pozzolanic activities of LSR are made up of two parts: One is chemistry activity, determined by chemical components; another is physical activity, determined by effects of grains.

The back–reflections of Laue XRD patterns confirmed the orthorhombically distorted perovskite structure with Pbnm symmetry for the single crystal samples
The magnetic measurements were implemented using the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) option of a Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS–9, Quantum Design).
