Methodology
3.1 Research Design
According to Yin (2009), a case study is recommended when the research question focuses on determining how to choose the most appropriate algorithm.A case study is a research methodology favored for exploring phenomena within their context, especially when surrounding circumstances are deemed crucial to the study【Hafiz, Baxter and Jack, 2008 This study uses a multiple-case approach to examine how project conditions influence decision-maker preferences by comparing findings across different cases【Hafiz, Baxter and Jack, 2008; Yin, 2009】The study defines three hypothetical case studies to represent different user scenarios:
