Conclusions (i) Mixed evolution of hexagonal wurtzite and cubic zincblend structure occurred on using the preparatory method, (ii) Sintering temperature and SHI irradiation fluence affect the microstructure of ZnO films, (iii) ZnO films are efficient UV absorber and moderate - weak absorber of visible light and can be used for PEC splitting of water and (iv) Films prepared at sintering temperature 500 and 600 0C and SHI irradiation of 3×10 12 ions cm2 yield maximum photocurrent and are more efficient for above purpose.

Surface treatments such as alkali treatment may lead to changes in the physical structure and crystallinity of natural fibres.
In addition to this, nanoparticles can exhibit excellent physical and thermal properties, large aspect ratios, good intercalation/exfoliation chemistry and high surface reactivity, which has led to their widespread use in composites materials.
