Considering the Sherwood-Frost constitutive relation and contribution of gas to the strength of the material, the macroscopic phenomenological constitutive relation of this material is developed.
1 Introduction
Aerogels are nanostructured materials with attractive properties such as highly porous, low-density [1] and low thermal conductivity, and can be used as color-filter materials [2], catalysts [3, 4], adsorbents [5] and thermal insulation materials.
Due to these properties, aerogels have a widely application in optics, aeronautics and astronautics, electrochemistry, military and function materials.
The greater of the strain rate, the bigger of the collision speed of gas molecules, so the greater contribution of the gas on the strength of materials.

The higher order asymptotic fields which are similar to the Williams’ solutions of crack problems in homogenous materials are obtained by asymptotic analysis for a circumferential crack in functionally graded Reissner’s cylindrical shell.
