A rate dependent model was introduced to simulate
the material response.
Introduction There is increasing interest in using advanced composite materials to construct structures that would be subject to blast and impact loading.
Results and Analyses As shown in Fig.3, the tensile strength and initial elastic modulus of the T300 /Epoxy composites for both stacking sequences of [(0/45/90/-45)2]s and [(45/-45)4]s are rate sensitive materials.
T300/Epoxy composites are strain rate dependent materials.
