The fatigue crack initiation behaviour of the Al layers in composite
metallic laminates can, therefore, be compared to the behaviour of monolithic Al if the actual stress
conditions at the notched edge are equivalent for both materials.
Vasek et al. [10] conducted experiments for fatigue crack initiation in FML, concluding that fatigue cracks start to grow separately in individual layers, with a higher number in the inner layers but with faster crack growth rates in the surface layers.
Homan [6] proposed an analytical 2D approach to estimate the fatigue crack initiation life of composite metallic laminates based on the actual stress level in the Al layers and empirical S-N data.
In order to obtain the actual stress level in the Al sheets, the majority of works dealing with this topic have chosen 2D Classical Laminate Theory (CLT).
The strain life relationship is given as the sum of the elastic (linear) and plastic (non-linear) strain range [8]: c if b i mf pl el N N E )2('2)2( )'(2 ε σσ εεε + − =∆+∆=∆ (1) where: σ'f = fatigue strength coefficient, ε'f = fatigue ductility coefficient, Ni = number of cycles to local failure of material, σm = local mean stress, b = fatigue strength exponent, c = fatigue ductility exponent.

Introduction
The drawing technologies that apply electroplastic effect to metal wire drawing processes have been
termed an electroplastic drawing by Troitskii, O.A. et al. [1] The electroplastic drawing can
apparently reduce the flow stress of metal wire and raise ductility, which has been reported by
Guoyi Tang et al.[2] and J.zhang et al.[3].
Pulse Generator Experimental studies have now shown by Troitskii, O.A. et al.[4] that pulse current is most effective electrical current type for the electroplastic wire drawing.
It is because drawing heat can result in wire ageing and influence the metallicity of wire, as described by Kemp, I.P. et al. [6], the electrocaloric effect will worsen the wire ageing.

As shown in Fig. 4(a), the octahedron-shaped MA crystals about 2-5 µm in size are present in the specimen CA-64 as confirmed by the EDS pattern of the indicated point (O 46.28, Mg 14.73, Al 37.05, with a little Ca 0.80 and Fe 1.15 [at%]).
The EDS spectrum of the selected point in Fig. 4(b) displays that the selected crystals are consisted of 38.23 at% O, 47.09 at% Al, 13.24 at% Ca and 1.43 at% Fe, this result indicates that CA is the main phase in this selected area and the CA crystals are agglomerated with MA and they are distributed in the aluminous cement specimen CA-64 dispersedly.
