The effect of process parameters of friction stir welding on the corrosion behaviour of the welded joints of Al/SiC–Gr hybrid composites has been investigated by Almomani et al [23].
Figure 1 The steps to fabricate AMNCs specimens Figure 2 Images of corroded samples A- Al/0%SiC, B- Al/1%SiC, C- Al/2%SiC, D- Al/3%SiC, E-Al/4%SiC, F- Al/5%SiC Results and Discussion Density Figure 3(a) shows the variation of theoretical density and experimental density with increasing the silicon carbide nanoparticles.
The corrosion rate of Al/SiC composites may vary which depends on the resistivity of SiC particles [38].

El-Batahgy et al. [12] demonstrated in case of 2205 duplex stainless steel plat that applying defocusing and modifying the laser welding speed can change welded joints profile.
Pekkarien et al. observed that when solidification and cooling rate are high austenite formation can decrease [9].

Fig. 1 (a) Broached notches with fir-tree profiles; (b) The broached surface for microstructural studies and residual stress measurements; (c) Two measured in-plane stress directions
Residual stress measurements were made on all three specimens using X-ray diffraction.
Bushlya et al. characterized the surface layer when turning Inconel 718 with a high cutting speed of 300 m/min, and nano-crystalline grains varying from 50 nm to 150 nm, mainly attributed to grain subdivision and dynamic recrystallization were identified using a transmission electron microscope [10].

In the last decade, the electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) became a very useful tool in studying the texture and microstructure evolution of the thermomechanically processed metals and alloys[9-21] Sato et al.[21] studied the microtexture in the friction stir welded AA6063 and has reported that the upper-surface region of the weld center has a texture component with a {110}<001> orientation.

Zhao et al. [9] have reported the fatigue-life prediction of wire ropes using the Wöhler curve, while Kamal & Rahman [11] make some modifications to the curve to predict the fatigue-life of steel alloys.
Other than that, the fatigue life prediction of steel alloys has also been done by Mahmud et al. [12] by utilizing the Weibull statistical distribution approach.

In accordance with the initial research, various natural minerals Al-Si, waste, fly ash and slag can serve as a source of raw materials for the synthesis of geopolymer [7].
This was due to defective binding reaction that occurs between NaOH and the elements Si and Al in the fly ash, causing cavities of air that causes water can enter to fill the cavity.
