Engineering structures for which the longitudinal direction is much large than the lateral ones can
be can be analysed using beam models.
Helicopter rotor blades in aerospace engineering and concrete made beams in civil engineering represent just two examples.
(10) For sake of brevity, coefficients Cij in Eqs. 10 as function of the engineering material constants and fibre orientation angles are not reported here.

HEC-RAS (Hydrologic Engineering Centers River Analysis System), is a hydraulic modeling software package designed to simulate flow in rivers and canals.
This system enables hydraulic engineers to analyze flows in riverbeds and determine flood zones.
In addition, the model offers the possibility of reducing calculation time by implementing a coarser mesh over fine topographic details using a so-called sub-mesh bathymetric approach [28]. 3.1.2 TELEMAC-2D The TELEMAC-2D model is widely used in coastal and other large-scale storm surge simulations [29], but it’s widely used in civil and environmental engineering studies, particularly for applications related to water resource management, flood modeling, and ecosystem modeling [30].

Abstract.
Although the free CaO that tends to be present in this type of aggregate can cause volumetric changes, Li [15] reported that after long-term exposure to external weathering, the effect of this expansion on engineering use is usually negligible
