The contradiction between the huge market demand of nickel and the shortage of natural nickel resource in China is obvious; therefore, advancing the resource utilization efficiency of and employing the best technique for nickel production is important to achieving the sustainable development of nickel industry in China; and the decisions regarding the implementation of these improvements must be made based on a systematical analysis on the resource intensity of the current nickel production technology.

Introduction
In engineering practice, composites are used increasingly as more and more expectations must be met and at the same time the environmental regulations become more strict.
Also the increase in performance (micro-electronics) and weight reduction (automobile industry) should be implemented at the same time, thus development engineers have to create more and more advanced materials [1].
