Materials and research methods NPP is synthesized by reduction of aqueous solutions of the salts mixtures (chlorides, nitrates) by hydrazine hydrate at a temperature of 80 – 100 °C and a alkaline medium (pH ~ 12 – 14) in temperature-controlled reactors, reducing agent is in excess (20 – 30-fold of stoichiometric quantity).
