PET was washed with acetone to remove any adhering impurity before use and then dried under vacuum at 60°C. 4VP (analytical reagent, Fuchen Chemical Plant in Tian Jin) was distilled twice over KOH and CaH2, respectively, under nitrogen atmosphere.

Similar results were also reported by Shuangqiao Yang et al. [1], who showed that printed circuit boards (Non-metallic PCB) could be used as reinforcing fillers in the HDPE composites and significant improvements in phase morphology (between HDPE matrix and NPCB filler) and mechanical properties were observed by using LDPE-g-MAH as a compatibilizer.
