Abstract.
Metallic hollow sphere structures (MHSS) form a new group of advanced composite materials characterised by high geometry reproduction leading to stable mechanical and physical properties.
However, deviations from perfect structures complicate the model generation within the scope of the finite element method and may require the application of new computational methods such as the Lattice Monte Carlo Method [18] where the model generation is expected to be much easier compared to traditional numerical methods in structural engineering.References [1] A.G Evans, J.W.
Forum Vol. 553 (2007), p. 45
