Introduction Epoxy has good mechanical properties, chemical resistance, high bond strength, and low shrinkage, so epoxy is widely used in many applications, including adhesives, coating and matrix of advanced composites materials [1].
However, epoxy is brittle in nature, so it is not suitable for structures subjected to dynamic and fatigue loadings, which need high toughness materials.
