The sizing agent has been prepared in the lab of Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry.
Contact angle measurements The carbon fibers surface is non-polar and compound of highly crystallized graphitic basal planes with inert structures [8].As a result, the interfacial bonding strength between the carbon fibers and the resin matrix is low, good mechanical properties of composites cannot be achieved [9].

The outcome of the present study offers an alternative approach to the two-step process via UV pre-treatment mentioned earlier and the single step process using formulated chemistries recently available [4].
Experimental The test materials used in this study were a model CFx polymer film generated by plasma polymerization using a C4F8/CF4-based plasma chemistry.
The absorbance bands recorded for this polymer are very similar to the one deposited on patterned structures described in literature [5] and to another model polymer deposited on a resist-mask checkerboard wafer reported previously [2-3].
Another aspect of this study concerned the effect of the dielectric patterning plasma (C4F8/CF4-based) on certain properties of the porous dielectric such as pore structure, surface sealing, and the extent of damage induced by the plasma.

Gold-nanoparticles (GNPs) play a special role in nanoscience and nanotechnology due to their high stability, electrical conductivity, optical properties and unique surface chemistry properties [12].
The hydrophobic structures in the lipid molecules become strong impediments for the hydrophilic probing molecules of [Fe(CN)6]3+ and [Fe(CN)6]2+, indicating that a stable BLM has been formed on the electrode surface.

Synthesis of the carboxyl and pyridine functional ionic liquids Ying Xiong1,a, Min Yang*2.b 1.School of Chemistry and Material Science, Guizhou Normal University, Guiyang China 2.College Of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Guizhou University, Guiyang China a.yingxiong_10000@126.com,b.merrypengmin@126.com Keywords:basic ionic liquids; carboxyl; pyridine functional ionic liquids; synthesis Abstract. The effects of different solvents on synthesis of base functional ionic liquid, butyl pyridinium hydroxide ([bPy]OH), from butyl pyridinium bromine ([bPy]Br) were investigated systematically using KOH/NaOH as the base agent and strong base anion exchange resin.
For a new catalyst system, the structures of carboxylic functional ionic liquids have the obvious effects on their catalytic performances.
Due to the diversity of coordination modes of carboxyl groups, transition metal carboxylates tend to form cluster or polymer structures.

The prepared powders have been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) .These studies reveled that zirconium is a good host for insertion into Cerium oxide in fluorite structure.
These results revealed that with adding Zr4+ ions (as guest) to the CeO2 structure (as host lattice), the interaction between doped Zr4+ cations and anions is increase and resulted in decreasing of unit cell parameters.
Also, the unit cell volume decrease with adding Zr4+ guest atoms to the CeO2 structure.
These experimental results are consistent with the above discussion regarding to the decrease of the unit cell volume with doping Zr4+ guest ions into the CeO2 structure.
