PVC materials are widely used in water pipes, preservative films, and so on.
Elastomeric materials were traditional toughening modifier of PVC.
The strength and toughness of PVC materials was dramatically improved by 0.1phr SWNT.
Experimental Section Materials.

The raw materials of PTFE, copper powder and others were mechanically mixed, then the mixed materials were pressed into round discs with the dimension of Ø30×4mm (at 60MPa, held for 5 minutes), which were finally sintered in nitrogen atmosphere to form the samples.

Our calculations show that the Curie temperature increases with Cu doping in agreement with recent experimental data.
1 Introduction
Recently, intensive studies of materials which exhibit significant magnetocaloric effect are performed in order to find suitable materials for magnetic refrigeration.
Such materials are expected to exhibit large entropy of transition just below the room temperature.
Moreover, these materials should not contain expensive or toxic elements.

Supposing a peak-shift of MSP identical to that of bulk material, we obtain the thermal activation energies of up to 5 MSPs.
Introduction Recently, much effort has been devoted to the fabrication and characterization of self-assembled nanostructure materials (quantum wires and quantum dots) grown by S-K mode due to their potential applications in devices[1-4].
