The high cost of these synthetic fillers making the composite expensive has limited their widespread uses in engineering structures.
It is against this background that the investigation into the possibility of using PKS in Al-Mg-Mn composite for engineering application is propelled.

In this study, microbial fuel cells (MFCs) were constructed using low cost ceramic cylindrical pot (900ml) as an ion exchange membrane.
To form the anode, 546cm2 of carbon cloth was wrapped around the ceramic cylinder and 455.2 cm2 of carbon cloth was attached to the internal periphery of the ceramic membrane to form the anode.
