Controllable low thickness near mean particle size and sharp edge make it possible to be used on producing certain shape in the surface engineering field, such as restoring and gradient materials.
Hopefully it will be wildly used in surface engineering field.

In our study, heterogeneous nucleation by the addition of SiC particles was investigated; it can be regarded as alternative to Zr because cheap and easy available ceramic particles can be used.

Characterization of the flexural behavior of SMP sandwich beam Zhengfa Lia, Zhengdao Wangb 1 Department of Mechanics, School of Civil Engineering, Beijing Jiao-Tong University, Beijing, 100044, China a 06121412@bjtu.edu.cn, b zhdwang@bjtu.edu.cn Keywords: Shape memory polymer; Sandwich structure; Shape recovery; Buckle Abstract.
To date the applications of SMPs have nearly spanned various areas of our life, which includes hematology-related products and devices [1-3], deployable industry [4-6] and micro-actuators [7-9] However, compared with traditional shape memory metals or ceramics, the stiffness of SMPs is much lower, which leads to be out of use when working as actuators where large recovery forces are needed.

Influence of Sputtering Power on the Structure and Photoelectric Property of Ga Doped ZnO Films Lei Wu1, a, Qingnan Zhao1,b, Gang Wu1,c and Dengkui Miao2,d 1 Key Laboratory of Silicate Materials Science and Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, China 2 Jiang Su Xiuqiang Glasswork CO., Ltd.
Experimental In this work, GZO films were deposited on commercial float glass substrate (size: 40cm×25cm×1mm) by direct current (DC) magnetron sputtering using ZnO ceramic target with 4% Ga2O3.
The structure of the films was investigated by XRD (Rigaku International Corporation, D/Max-2500/PC) with monochromatic Cu Kα radiation (k = 1.5405 Å) and a Ni filter, the cross-sectional morphology was observed by a field-emission scanning electron microscope (model S-4800, Hitachi, Japan).

Conventional abrasives and superabrasives dispersed in a regular intermittent pattern are compared to a conventional state-of-the-art ceramic grit belt designed for machining nickel-based alloys.
It turned out that abrasives dispersed in a regular intermittent pattern performed superior to conventional state-of-the-art ceramic grit belts in terms of stationary homogenous depth of cut characteristic as well as lower grinding-in times.
