To make the wing design efficient and manufacturable it should have an air foil cross-section and the wing must not stall while flapping: the advanced ratio i.e. ratio of airspeed to tip speed for an ornithopter should be less than 1, it's important that wing tip feathers at around 8 to 15 degrees to avoid a stall.
