Nano cemented carbide is a new style cutter material.
The better wear resistance and toughness of cemented carbide makes it fit for cutting the materials with higher hardness intermittently and at a low-speed, so the tool life is better than the ordinary carbide tool in the processing of marble.
Conclusions This paper studied the cutting performance of nano-cemented carbide tool cutting marble, and the following results are obtained: In contrast to ordinary cemented carbide cutting tools, nano-cemented carbide cutting tools have the advantage of better wear resistance, impact resistance, and higher tool life, more suitable for cutting marble and other hard and brittle materials.
