For instance, it was found by Jojibabu et al. [24] that the LSS of the aluminium joints increased by 53%, 49% and 46% with adding 1 wt.% CNT, 0.5 wt.% GNP and 0.5 wt.% single-walled carbon Nano horns (CNH), respectively.
However, Moriche et al. [30] found that incorporating of GNPs into the epoxy had no effect on the lap-shear strength results of adhesive-copper and adhesive-aluminium joints, which was due to a weak interface reinforcement-matrix.

Jha elt al. [2] have studied the lattice vibrational properties of europium chalcogenides by using a three-body force rigid ion model (TRIM).
Sakalle et al. [5] have used simple lattice dynamical model theory viz. the three-body force rigid ion model (TRIM) to study the lattice vibrational properties of europium chalcogenides at high pressure.
Horne et al. [6] used the ab-initio self-interaction corrected (SIC) method [7] to discuss the electronic structure of the Eu chalcogenides and pnictides in both the divalent and trivalent states.
Gupta et al. [15] used two different models, a modified charge-transfer potential model and a charge transfer model to study all the Europium chalcogenides.

Jimeno et al [4] stated that the success and economics of drilling operation depends majorly on the condition of the bit.
In addition, Hennies et al [5] said that the application of drilling requires proper identification of drilling components such as drill bit, drilling fluid and stabilizer.
Kahraman et al [6] stated that the performance of a bit requires information from variety of sources which includes formation properties, operating condition and bit design analysis.
Plinninger et al [8] were of the view that performance of a drill bit could be determined and measured based on the rate of penetration, bit life and bit wear rate.

Zhang et al. [3] investigated the corrosion behavior of 13Cr exposure to CO2 and Cl- environment via electrochemical methods and found the passivity ability strongly depends upon temperature.
Hong et al. [12] conducted a series of experiments about AISI 436 stainless steel, and found that without Ti additives, some ferrite would transform into martensite structure and pitting potential decreased after welding; on the contrary, additive Ti weakened the pitting degree.
The results of Kong et al. [13] revealed the same phenomenon while adding Cu to the 304 stainless steel.
Barbucci et al. [14] studied the passive behavior of 304 stainless steel in sulfate media, and they explained the effect of sulfate ion using a bilayer model.

β-wollastonite powders were synthesized using a sol-gel technique, a modified method used by Pei et al [14].
The XRD pattern obtained for β-wollastonite is similar to those described by Wan, et al [13].
The IR peaks at 679, 789, 899 and 936 cm−1 are owed to the stretching band for silicones ion Si-O-Si and are similar with those stated by Sreekanth et al. [20] for sintered β-CaSiO3 at 950 oC for 3 h.
The absorption bands mainly occur at 1012 and 1060 cm−1 because of the Si-O vibration and they are in agreement to those described by Paluskzkiewicz et al. [21] and Kolhe & Kannan [22].

Kono et al [15] found that residual stress increase with the cutting speed, but does not monotonically change with the depth of cut in hard turning.
Devarajan et al [20] constructed an experimental model for predicting the surface residual stress, which cannot predict the subsurface residual stresses.
El-Axir [25] introduced a similar model for residual stress distribution in turning different materials, which postulated that the tensile strength of different materials, cutting speed and feed rates are considered as three input parameters affecting residual stress distribution.
Lin et al [26] applied a strain energy density criterion to predict residual stress in machining.
The FEM results of Obikawa et al [32] showed that residual stress induced in the continuous chip formation is greater than that in the discontinuous chip formation.
