Due to the well controlled gas barrier properties, DLC have been actively used for the food packaging purposes [3-4].When DLC films were coated on polymers, the resulting DLC-polymer composites are highly functionalized materials, some of which presenting dramatically improved gas barrier properties[5].

The capacitance value depends on the electrode plate geometry and dielectric properties of the material between the electrodes.
Wood is one of the dielectric material that can be inserted between electrodes so its capacitance value can be measured.
For two capacitors that have same geometry, their capacitance only depends on the dielectric constant of the material between the electrodes.

For example, when tip clearance is large enough to affect performance measurement, the faults can be detected, in addition, in leaf rubbing, only after wearing out enough materials with imbalance situation can vibration monitoring detect the fault, so vibration and performance monitoring was mainly used to indicate faults in late stage[2].
The monitoring objects are faults of gas components, including common compressor / turbine rubbing, material peeling off, hot-end components ablatives and nozzle carbon deposition.
Sensor covering was made by stainless steel for heat insulation and electromagnetic shielding while internal insulation material was microcrystalline-glass that can stand up to 800 °C.
