Structural Improvement of 920 nm Optically Pumped Semiconductor Vertical External-cavity Surface Emitting Laser (OPS-VECSEL) Xuemei Liang1,a, Li Qin2,b, Yongqiang Ning2,c, Yun Liu2,d,Lijun Wang2,e 1Jilin Agricultural University, China 2Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences,China aliangxuemei1026@hotmail.com, b qinl@ciomp.ac.cn, c ningyq@ciomp.ac.cn, dhx5252@sohu.com,e wanglj@ciomp.ac.cn Keywords: semiconductor lasers; structural improvement; finite element; vertical external-cavity surface emitting laser; optically pumped Abstract. 920 nm OPS-VECSEL has an important application in laser display.
(6) is the material refractive index of the active region, L is the laser cavity length, R1 and R2 are reflectivity of the DBR and external cavity mirror, Np is the photon amount in the cavity of the mode p.
The output characteristics of these devices were calculated by building up the material storage and setting optical power density, center wavelength, threshold, scan step size and calculation precision, Results and analysis The performances of device, especially the mode, the threshold and the optical-optical translation efficiency, were analyzed by dealing with different number of QWs (1, 2 and 3) in one period, QW depth, barrier width, the component and dimension of the non-absorption layer (as shown in Fig.2) [5].

Examples of materials synthesized by the above methods are presented.
While this method has relatively long history [7,8] but only recent achievements in combustion science allowed a number of important breakthroughs in this field, e.g. development of new catalysts and nano-carriers with properties better than those for similar traditional materials (see also [6,9]).
