Prediction and Control of Welding Distortion in "U" Rib Orthotropic Plate Hongbin Zhou1,a,Qingju Zhu2,b,Yun Liu1,c,Junying Dong1,d 1College of Civil Engineering Yanshan University,Qinhuangdao,Hebei,066004,China 2 China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group CO.
During the fabrication of "U" rib orthotropic plates, the control of welding distortion is a key link in the construction.
Based on inherent strain finite element method starting apply to automobile and shipbuilding industry in recent years, the prediction of welding distortion take the concern of engineers ,in addition, some applications are received as well[2].
When the finite element method of predicting the welding distortion is used, the thermal expansion coefficient αx and αy of the material in the weld zone is defined.

One of the keys contributing factors that could prevent these accidents is to provide appropriate training to the plant personnel.
In this case, refresh training will be carried out every year or depending upon the requirements due to rapid changes of research work that affect the process, equipment, material, etc. in meeting the objectives of the project.
