Introduction Nanoparticle materials have been primarily applied to various industries.
Generally, it is necessary to make the nanoparticle into solutions when the nanoparticle materials are employed in an industry [1, 2].
Therefore researches on the above two aspects will provide direction to application of nanoparticles materials.
In this paper, nano scale alumina particle (n-Al2O3) materials and nickel salts were selected to schedule the composite water solution, from which nickel matrix composite (n-Al2O3 / Ni) coatings were prepared by brush electroplating process.

Introduction Thermoelectric (TE) materials attract much interest for such applications as to heat pumps and power generators.
At present, the materials with highest TE performance are inter-metallic compounds such as Bi2Te3 [1-3].
The known material of NaCo2O4 was recently discovered to be good TE material [4,5] to encourage researchers for exploring new TE materials in metal oxides.
