In this study, A6061, an Al-Mg-Si aluminum alloy, was used as the test material, and the dimensions of the test piece, which was to be the base material, were 10 mm in diameter and 75 mm in length.

The inoculation treatment was carried out by adding approximately 0.15% of a commercial inoculant (68.1 wt.% Si, 0.89 wt.% Al, 1.65 wt.% Ca, 0.45 wt.% Bi, 0.38 wt.% Ba, 0.37 wt.% RE) into the cavity of the moulds.

The purity of phenylterpyridine and the corresponding intermediate (3-phenyl-1,5-di(pyridin-2-yl)pentane-1,5-dione) has been proven using NMR spectroscopy and is in good agreement with the data reported by Moya et al.[19]. 1H NMR (500 MHz, Chloroform-d) δ 8.81 – 8.74 (m, 4H), 8.70 (dt, J = 8.0, 1.0 Hz, 2H), 7.97 – 7.86 (m, 4H), 7.57 – 7.51 (m, 2H), 7.51 – 7.44 (m, 1H), 7.37 (ddd, J = 7.5, 4.8, 1.2 Hz, 2H).
PhTPy ligands absorb at 235-290 nm that is in good agreement with the data reported by Sharghi et al. [23].
