The glass samples having the general chemical formula (81-x)H3BO3-19BaCO3-xDy2O3, where (x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mol%) have been prepared by weighing the powder of H3BO3, BaCO3 and Dy2O3 using the electronic balance model Setra EL-2008.
Farag et. al [10].
Works by Tou et al. (2014) affirmed that a band region from 1730-1750 cm-1 can be represented by boron-oxygen triangular units (BO3 and BO2O-).

In the case of titanium alloys, the Ti-6Al-4V alloy has received the main attention, for aluminium alloys, most of the studies were focused on Al-Mg (5000 series), Al-Zn (7000 series) and Al-Cu (2000 series) whereas for magnesium alloys, they were mainly focused on AZ (Mg-Al) and ZK (Mg-X) alloys.
At the opposite, intermetallic forming elements, such as Mg in Al alloys, can form Mg-Al clusters, decreasing diffusivity and finally inhibiting GBS [17].
