In our previous work, the Y3+ doped BaCeO3-based materials were prepared by a sol–gel method and solid state reaction respectively.
The conductivity was closely related with oxygen vacancy content, crystal symmetry and the forming of defect association Acknowledgements This work was financially supported by The National Natural Science Foundation of China (60971074), Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province (Y1090035) and Natural Science Foundation of Ningbo City(2009A610065).

Removal of Arsenic from Groundwater Using Nano-Metal Oxide Adsorbents Phitchaya Muensri, Supamas Danwittayakul* National Metal and Materials Technology Center, 114 Thailand Science Park, Paholyothin Rd., Klong 1, Klong Luang, Pathumthani, 12120, Thailand.
Experimental Materials and Chemicals All the chemicals used for synthesis of the adsorbents were of analytical grade and used as-received materials without any further purification.
Therefore, the TiO2 and ZnO-nano could be alternative materials use to remove As(V) from groundwater.

Mullite whiskers can be used for metal matrix composite and ceramic matrix composites to enhance the mechanical properties of materials.
Kyanite breaks up into mullite and α-cristobalite in high temperature, so adding a certain amount of alumina into kyanite can make all raw materials into mullite.

Materials and methods Materials Tipplen H949A polypropylene (TVK, Hungary) with an MFR value of 45g/10 min was used as a matrix material in the experiments.
From the melt-mixed materials 2 mm thick plates were compression molded at 250°C and 160 bar using a Collin P 200E mold.
It can be seen that the conductivity of the hybrid filled materials is considerably higher than that of the samples containing only one kind of filler.

The carbon source is found in a variety of materials, such as peanut shells [1], coconut husks [2], or physic nut [3].
The major components of raw materials are volatile matter and fixed carbon.
With the increase of impregnation ratio, the reaction rate between the activator of NaOH and carbonized materials becomes faster.

Introduction The rare-earth iron giant magnetostrictive material is a new type of functional materials.
If an external force is applied onto magnetostrictive materials, the magnetic status of the materials will vary.
In order to prevent the magnetic leakage, soft magnetic materials are used as yoke.
