Introduction Because of limitation of raw materials and production technology, there are micro-cracks and nonuniformity inside the HSC, which make the inner structure of HSC extremely complex.
Materials Materials used in this test are as follows: 42.5 MPa Ordinary Portland Cement, ground slag (SL), silica fume (SF) and fly ash (FA) (their chemical components are shown by Table 1), artificial aggregate (the maximum size is 20 mm ), water reducer FDN.
Table 1 Chemical Compositions of Admixtures (%) Admixture SiO2 Al2O3 Fe2O3 CaO MgO SO3 I.L SL 31.68 12.77 2.02 40.80 4.76 2.10 - SF 92.80 2.04 0.52 0.45 0.58 - 2.26 FA 56.03 24.85 3.65 4.10 1.31 0.52 0.27 Influence of Admixtures on Brittleness of HSC In this test, the water-cementitious materials ratio is lower than 0.3, and sand-aggregate ratio is 0.35.

The main advantages in use lasers in materials processing is the ability to select the area to process, in other words: the laser beam can be placed exactly in the region of interest.
The laser beam radiation absorption in the material surface can be improved using coating or inks, made of carbon black, MoSi2 and graphite.

Parting materials, which are usually used to prevent sticking of the strip to the roll, were not used, because magnesium alloy usually does not stick to the roll when the roll load is small.

When testing building materials, electroacoustic methods are suitable for determining the dynamic modulus of elasticity, for determining the strength of a specific material, and for evaluating the extent of damage [4].
[9] This velocity depends on the quality of the investigated material.
Ultrasonic measurement can be applied on structures made from concrete as well as wooden, metal, ceramic, and other materials.
The resonance method consists in measuring one of the natural frequencies of the tested material.

Nevertheless, several studies have reported room-temperature photoluminescence (PL) in Si-based materials [1, 2]; this opens the possibility of using Si as an efficient light source, which is attractive for potential applications in optoelectronics.
In addition, Si-based materials are compatible with the existing manufacturing infrastructure of integrated circuits (IC´s) [3].
The two most accepted mechanisms of visible and near-infrared light emission for this type of materials are the quantum confinement effect in Si-ncs and another related with the role of defects around of the Si-ncs or defects in the SiOx matrix [1-14].

Introduction Aluminum-matrix composites (AMCs) possess many advantages such as high strength, high stiffness and excellent wear resistance, which make them increasingly being cited as candidate materials in many industrial applications [1-3].
Materials and Experimental procedure The material used for this research was an atomized commerically-pure aluminium (99%) powders.
Since matrix and particles materials that used in both direct and underwater method were similar, therefore bonding and distribution of SiC particles influenced bending strength excessively.

Initially a great deal of raw materials and workforce was used.
This type of cooperation delivers new production materials and innovative solutions to almost every sector of the economy.
With regard to materials use, minimalism is applied, i. e. as small as possible consumption of materials with the simultaneous reaching high effectiveness of using and functionality.
A characteristic feature is also a high degree of processing of materials used during production process.

Many investigations have done on these related materials.
Many other results were reported on the Raman spectroscopy about rare-earth doped materials such as gadolinium aluminum perovskite or erbium aluminum garnet, and rare-earth multiferroic oxides [8,9].
It is found that Raman spectroscopy is a reliable technique to investigate the microstructures of these materials.
For the Er2O3 amorphous powder, there is a relatively broad peak marked as “ ” in the frequency ranging from 300 to 480 cm-1 as compared with the sharp peaks encountered in crystalline materials.
In contrast, for amorphous materials, the translational symmetry that characterizes crystals is lost, causing the correlation functions to be localized.
