A high surface area of materials is a necessary requisite for catalyst application to maximize the gas-solid contact under reaction conditions.
High temperature reduction treatments were found to favor the formation of highly active CeO2-ZrO2 materials [19-25].
Analysis of Ce M4,5 white line intensity ratio, obtained from EELS data indicates that the particles in raw materials is in +4 oxidation state and after reduction treatments the particles show a mixed +3/+4 oxidation states, showin in Figure 6.
