Assuming that the number of oil formation is m, a well passes through the formation and each layer of the oil formation is fractured and (1) the rock is elastic brittle material, the rock cracks as the tensile stress is greater than a certain limit value; (2) the height of the fracture keeps the same along the whole fracture length, only the fracture width changes;(3) the flow in the fracture is laminar flow; (4) the fracture end pressure is equal to the total stress (the stress direction is perpendicular to the fracture wall); (5) neglecting the fracturing fluid loss; (6) neglecting the influence of proppant on fracture closure.
The equation of fracturing fluid loss volume can be derived according to the material balance principle and Darcy's Law: (4) where, m—the grid number of fracture;kd — the formation permeability, μm2;h—the height of fracturing fluid loss,m;Δy1—the grid length of first row at y direction,m;lxi— the grid length of x direction fracture,m. 3.
