The tendency of the catalyst to interact with water is due to the low Si/Al ratio of Ps, so that it has hydrophilic properties.
The mechanism of the DBT oxidation reaction in the ODS-DBT method in detail by the active site of NiO is depicted in Fig. 12 where the reaction mechanism and scheme were from Rezvani et al. [31] using TBA-PWFe@NiO@BNT catalyst from mono Fe-substituted phosphotungstate with tetra (n-butyl) ammonium chains (TBA-PWFe), nickel oxide (NiO), and sodium activated bentonite (BNT) with acetic acid and H2O2 mix to desulfurize simulated fuel and real gasoline.
