In refractory, forsterite is considered as one of the most efficient materials for critical production stages of modern iron and steel industry, namely, steelmaking and casting or ladle metallurgy [5-10].
Experimental Natural forsterite powders (44 μm, Yichang, China) and Na2CO3 (99.8% purity, AR) were used as raw materials.

Natural inorganic adsorbent materials such as pearlite, pozzolanic materials and clays are inexpensive and readily available in large quantities.
These materials can adsorb up to 3 to 15 times their weight in oil.

Based on their good properties, nano materials have potential applications in magnetic materials, electronic materials, optical materials, as well as the sintering, catalysis, sensor of high strength and high density material.
Because of their electrical and magnetic properties, nano materials are widely used in industry, for example, giant magnetoresistance materials can be used as read- write head of next generation magnetic recording materials in information storage.
Used as magnetic recording materials, nano materials could improve signal to noise ratio and the image quality.
