Isolation and Purification of Orientin and Isovitexin from Thlaspi arvense Linn

Abstract:

The crude extract obtained by water extraction and alcohol precipitation from Thlaspi arvense Linn was separated respectively by different solvents such as petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and butanol. Ethyl acetate fraction was separated by semi-preparative HPLC to give compound 1, and butanol fraction was continuously separated by D101 macroporous resin and semi-preparative HPLC to give compound 2, the chemical structures of two compounds were elucidated by 13C-NMR1H-NMRMsUV and named as Orientin and Isovitexin (their purity > 98% using normalization method of HPLC).
