This work brings together some 280 peer-reviewed papers on Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Engineering. It will certainly serve to promote the development of Chemical, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, the strengthening of international academic cooperation and communication, and the exchange of research ideas offering, as it does, a broad overview of the latest advances in the field of Materials and Chemical Engineering.
The present volume contains the papers presented at the international conference on Advanced Materials and Structures – AMS 2011, held in Timisoara, Romania, in 2011. The conference aimed to cover the broad domain of advanced materials in all of its important aspects: technology of fabrication, property characterization, advanced applications, investigation and mathematical modelling.
The contributions to this special collection cover a wide range of subject areas related to EPD and reflect the impressive versatility of that technique for materials processing. The topics discussed range from theoretical studies of the fundamental mechanisms of EPD, to novel techniques which exploit EPD for the efficient and cost-effective fabrication of a variety of advanced materials.
The 2012 International Conference on Advanced Materials and their Application (AMA2012) had, as its objective, the provision of a forum where researchers from various fields, especially that of materials science, could exchange their findings. The 95 peer-reviewed papers cover burning topics in advanced materials engineering and dynamic systems; nanotechnology, mechanics and materials science and material applications, green chemistry and mining engineering.
Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
Numerous leading experts on polymer materials and processing presented their recent research finding at the meeting, and the result is an invaluable state-of-the-art guide to the subject.
