Abstract: A cost combined life cycle assessment was carried out to estimate the economic and environmental impact of corn straw direct-fired power generation. Results showed that the road transport, diesel, and infrastructure stages represented the dominant contribution to environmental impact in most midpoint categories, whereas the tax, depreciation, raw materials, and infrastructure price played an important role to economic impact. Improving raw material consumption efficiency and decreasing the direct emissions (i.e., nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide) generated from electricity production stage are the efficient way to minimize overall environmental or economic impacts.

Abstract: Considering the testing requirements of dynamically loaded about servo system in weapons, a load simulator is presented in this paper and the transfer function of “extraneous torque" is obtained. In order to curb the amplitude of extra torque and achieve dynamic load simulation, this paper proposes a grey prediction-based fuzzy neural network controller, which selects Generalized Dynamic Fuzzy Neural Network as the learning algorithm and selects the ε-completeness as a criterion to determine the width of Gaussian functions. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed torque controller can significantly reduce the amplitude of the extra torque.

Abstract: The recently emerged compressive sensing framework aims to acqure signals at reduced sample rates compared to the classical Shannon-Nyquist rate. This paper is concerned with the optimization problem of motion tracking driven by a sort of passive infrared sampling paradigm which springs from compressive sensing framework. In particular, a structured implementation with binary passive infrared sensor node is proposed to acquire the sparse presence state of human motion with resolution of some small cells. To calibrate the cells, a functional scalar quantizer is employed. Its optimization is used to adjust the design of sampling model to reduce the uncertainty of measurement noise. Simulation results show that the proposed optimization method benefits tracking accuracy to a certain degree.

Abstract: The distributed virtual control and simulation has been investigated collaborative compute environment. The VNC and RFB protocol is a thin-client computing model for setting up a cooperative environment. This paper proposed a WSRFB Protocol to construct a distributed virtual control and simulation environment with shared remote program. The distributed virtual control can simulate the window generated by the distributed virtual control and simulation software. The algorithm successfully applied it in the telecommunication network management system integration. The results and experiments demonstrated that the WSRFB protocol could offer a great flexibility simulation environment.

Abstract: Drivability and fuel economy are continuously emphasized during the development of automobiles, and shift quality is the most important part of the drivability. To improve the shift quality, the integrated powertrain control strategy for gear shifting is presented in this paper. First of all, the transmission control strategy based on the turbine speed trajectory is proposed. Furthermore, an output torque observer is determined to implement the coordinated engine control, and then the torque based coordinated engine control is presented. Finally, the integrated powertrain control strategy is studied by experiments. The experimental results show that the integrated powertrain control reduces the shift jerk and the dissipated clutch energy during gear shifting.

Abstract: The dynamic separation of two parallel microplates with an intervening liquid meniscus is studied theoretically. The dynamic model considering the meniscus force and the viscous force between the plates in the separation process was developed. With typical simulation parameters, the magnitudes of various forces were compared before the separation of two parallel plates occurs. It was found that the meniscus force decreases gradually with the increase of separation distance. However there is a sudden jump of the viscous force before it gradually increases, then it decreases dramatically. The influences of various parameters on the separation time were investigated. It was found that the separation time increases with the mass of the upper plate, surface tension, viscosity and volume of the liquid. The separation time decreases with the initial distance and the contact angles of the liquid.

Abstract: This paper presents the static characteristics of two surfaces in line contact under TEHL with non-Newtonian lubricant. Modified Reynolds equation, elastic equation and energy equation were formulated to obtain the model. The model was simulated based on numerical method by using Newton-Raphson and multigrid multilevel techniques. The static characteristics of the two surfaces in line contact under TEHL such as film pressure, film thickness and film temperature profiles in the contact region were examined at various loads, speeds, roller radius and elastic modulus respectively. The results showed the significant effect of load, elastic modulus and surface velocity on the TEHL for machine element operated at severe conditions.

Abstract: In Marun petrochemical company there are some TLE (TRANSFER LINE EXCHANGER) that their lifetime reduced to 4 years instead of 30 years and after 4 years we saw sever corrosion on one part of those T.L.E. that named Oval header and this happened in condition that other part of those TLE were safe and prefect. By using of thickness measurement devices we find that thickness reduced unusually on that part and after research and do computer analysis with fluent soft ware, it was recognized that on that part we have high temperature and when this out of rang temperature add to bad quality of water , corrosion increased whit high rate on that part and after more research it became obviously that it case by more excess air in furnace that located before this T.L.E. that this more air case to consuming more fuel to reach same furnace temperature so it concluded that inner coil fluid temperature increased and after received to T.L.E this case happened and deflector condition , creep in coil and material analysis confirmed that condition.

Abstract: Slot partial competitive (SPC) anti-collision algorithm is based on the ISO/IEC18000-6C UHF radio frequency identification (RFID) standard, which introduces dynamic binary tree search technology into the competitive collision avoidance mechanism. Moreover, the SPC algorithm applies the specific technologies to idle slots and collision slots. This paper proposes a segment slot partial competitive (SSPC) anti-collision algorithm based on the SPC, and introduce the segment algorithm. The performances of the dynamic binary tree search, the SPC algorithm and the SSPC algorithm are compared via simulation experiments. Simulation results indicate that the SSPC algorithm is improved significantly.
