Abstract: Based on the real working conditions of the carriage hoists, the Finite Element Method (FEM) software is used to make static and dynamic analysis for the key component and then to optimize its components according to the analysis results to achieve some goals, e.g., simplified structure, weight reduction, costs reduction, etc.. The process provides useful references for the design of carriage hoists.

Abstract: It has been several decades since HongKong developed shopping centers. During the process, a set of design concepts, which in accordance with actual local condition, were produced. By studying the Morphology of HongKong shopping centers about exterior environment and interior space, the article tried to analysis their design features as well as the experiences we can learn from.

Abstract: Based on analyzing basic situation and requirements of SOHO residential space, the paper researched on the design principles of SOHO residential space, which including space complicatedness, internal environment comfort and residential space individuality. The results will provide the basis for the design and application for the SOHO residential mode.

Abstract: This paper discusses abstract and empathy roles of physical elements in architecture. The earliest palace was constructed as representation of "universal structure", and architecture was the first model of universe. Therefore, light, material and natural elements in architecture have fundamental significance and aesthetic importance as symbol of universal structure. This paper discusses the thought of natural elements in both eastern and western culture, and summarized basic metaphorical meanings of light, material and natural elements as architectural symbols and aesthetic images. The conclusion is that architectural thinking about the material is values reason and ontology which is different from that of engineering mechanics concerning tool reason. The light, material and natural elements in architecture have archetype significance beyond cultural differences.

Abstract: Memorial architecture faces the special challenge of commemorating the absent; Jewish museums deal with an extra problematic history of high sensitivity. This paper examines and compares Daniel Libeskind’s architectural solutions to the cultural and political challenges in each of the three Jewish museums that he designed in Berlin, San Francisco and Copenhagen. The focus is on how the architecture institutionalizes the web of political relationships attached to the particular museum and delivers the museum’s message. It will be concluded that Libeskind has used space to address visitors bodily and affectively, control their behavior and help them see what the museums want them to see; the museums’ spatial existence can never really be independent of their contents. Light will be shed on the future of museum architecture: the trend is for museums designed for an expressive experience, involving movement, rather than the static enjoyment of single works of art.

Abstract: Initiated from the volume and space designing before constructing office building, the paper is in purpose of adopt reasonable passive energy saving design so as to make people to have the sense of space comfort and pleasure, decrease the costs for construction and operation, and finally construct more efficient green office building. More details about design tactics and outcome were expressed by a case.

Abstract: The project is a complicated systems engineering. The theory of whole life cycle cost considers roundly each phase of the project such as design. life cycle cost theory is applied to fields of maintenance and reinforcement about existing building structure, modeling with a reinforced concrete frame structure deterioration, it made a research about the influence of maintenance, repair and reinforcement measures to the reliability and deterioration speed of existing structure while analyzing its life cycle cost, considering economic optimization problem so as to select economy and reasonable maintenance scheme from multiple plans.

Abstract: The theory of building skin is a topic of great concern in domestic architectural theory community in recent years. In this paper, through to retrieve the keywords from the Chinese journal full-text database, China Ph.D. Thesis full text data, China's excellent master's degree thesis full-text database and WANFANG DATA(ten thousand party database), analysis and deduced that architecture ontology, architecture techniques, architecture arts and culture are the top three themes that the architect concerned about in the domestic, and the skin space, ecological skin and skin culture are the hot spots in these three themes, and they can supply scientific data.for further in-depth study of building skin theory.

Abstract: By the comprehension of development and change of the public art’s form and function in modern urban, this paper points out the requirement of public art has not been an adornment of public constructions, but an art-oriented construction tendency in accordance with different site regional characteristics, project type restriction and public requirements. By means of the interactive with social circumstance development, the public art will blend positively in the community conditions and everyday life.

Abstract: It is important to define the area when we design airport terminal building. The use the conception of person’s maximum number and by means of analyse , calculation , application to analyze the data which coming from the practice. Finding the scientific mean for area designing of airport, then supply conveniently to the designer.
