Abstract: Island settlement in the South-East of Zhejiang Province is a blend region of a variety of marine habitat development model, its formation, development and evolution are closely related with the local geographical environment, cultural background, sources of material and building way. This paper takes the Ruoshan Islands of Wenling, Zhejiang Province as an example, mixes the cultures of Eastern Fujian and South Zhejiang to analyze the causes and law of the island habitat’s evolution, and puts forward the basic method and strategy for construction of the marine habitat with mixed culture character.

Abstract: Huizhou’s building cultural content is abundant, and its building activities are almost all under the deep influence of so-called geomantic omen. Firstly, the article explains the geomantic concept from popular and professional angles. Secondly, it analyses one by one that the Chinese old-line geomantic concept has had a great influence on the architectural ruins in primitive society, the settlements’ sites selection in Huizhou, residence, landscape and space layout. Finally, with an example of the Pingshan Village in ancient Huizhou, the article makes a thorough study and analysis on the influence which the Chinese traditional the geomantic conception has had on the layout of the settlements in Huizhou. It concludes that the geomantic essence is to unite sky, land and person as one highly and construct an ideal ecological environment for living.

Abstract: Exact figures indicated that there has been a number peak of Chinese university in 1950-60’s. Mostly selected Xi’an, excavated the historical background and research present condition on universities’ architecture of Xi’an in 1950-60’s, analyzed historical value and artistic value of them, as well as demonstrated them should be protected for a necessary part of the modern cultural heritage for university's own, Xi’an, even China, then discussed protection strategy and put forward some reasonable suggestions.

Abstract: Tian-Shui and Guan-zhong Areas are the neighborhood in location, but their traditional dwellings show differences in a location adjacent. The author’s point it is the inevitable choice of natural climate and local geographical conditions. The paper try to analyses from the local climate, geographical features, organization form, spatial scale, streamlined organization and other aspects and try to take a conclusions on the differences and similarities of traditional dwellings between Tian-shui and directions of Guan-zhong.

Abstract: This paper looks back and revaluates the evolution of designer’s role in Chinese city construction with a macroscopic perspective, and comes up with a new direction of designer’s role in Chinese future city construction by reading the past.

Abstract: China is carrying out a large-scale public rental housing construction for the low-income citizens. In order to cope with China public housing development and the concept of 'ageing in place', the introduction of innovative design initiatives is hopeful considered in low-rent housing design. Hong Kong has more than 30 years experience in public rental housing design for the elderly. This paper focuses on the design for the elderly in Hong Kong in the past 30 years.

Abstract: This paper presents a new and competitive smart home system in intelligent buildings based on wireless home automation networks (WHANs). Our designed system has three layers: ultimate controller, data transmission network, and wireless sensor networks. The merits of our system include two folds: 1) it is easy to be adopted in our home without any changing our existing electronic devices; 2) unlike other independent subsystem, the whole-sale functions of smart system are integrated into our system, it can perform well from many anticipant applications. The efficacy of our designed system is proven by practical application environment.

Abstract: This paper aims to the ignorance of the female space design in commercial building in China, and put forwards the trends of female space design in commercial building in the future by analyzing the development and the present situation at home and abroad. The gender space in the shopping mall is not only providing the architect with good reference for the design of the commercial building space, but also promote the business prosperity and the economic development. All this can advance the overall social development and human progress.

Abstract: In most regions of China, rural housing is in a state of spontaneous evolution under no architects’ guidance, to explore the development regularity and spontaneous problems is the foundation heading to the good orientation. Take local rural dwellers in Jinzhou for example, with scientific methods of the field surveying and mapping, residents interview, questionnaire survey and so many kinds of scientific methods etc., the authors summarize the types of rural housing in Jinzhou and their evolution first and then the authors analyze the laws of the evolution and influencing factors to local dwellers. The paper aims to provide some theoretical bases for guiding the construction and reconstruction of rural housing, at present and in the future.

From the Angle of design psychology research such problems, the more realistic and profound significance.
