Abstract: The application of virtual reality in architectural design has been the focus of attention. But the true 3D sense of immersion is still a dream for the most designers and clients when they watch the computer screen. A new computer stereo vision imaging system was constructed to help us obtain 3D visual of architectures and the implementation process became easier. And the application of advanced three-dimensional vision technology offered a more scientific, more interesting means of display and human-computer interaction. By using 3D stereo vision imaging system, all designers and users can obtain 3D visual observation of virtual buildings and virtual environments with a good sense of immersion at any time and any place.

Abstract: Stadiums are large theaters for entertainment purposes while being social and architectural propaganda in towns and cities built in. Design priorities are achieved in these buildings if structure and enclosure are recognized carefully in all scales. Indoor Ballparks are a type of stadiums that support outdoor sports, such as baseball, football or soccer. The numbers of these wide span structures are increasing due to versatile needs today. These structures are being built with different shapes and structural forms around the world nowadays. In this paper 76 Indoor Ballparks with the capacity of over 15000 occupants are considered and categorized into 4 categories based on their roof forms including One-way Curved Roofs (OCR), Two-way Curved Roofs (TCR), Flat & Gable Roofs (FAGR) and Exposed Structural Element Roofs (ESER). Methodology of this classification and the results are presented in this paper.

Abstract: At present, the proportion of the elderly share of socio-demographic is gradually increasing, social endowment has become an inevitable trend in Jinzhou. In order to discuss how the private community endowment building to work better for the aged old man, through the questionnaire survey, field interview, comparative analysis, this paper analyzes the present situation and existing problems of private community nursing home. Hope to provide a reference for the construction and development of private community endowment building in Jinzhou.

Abstract: A large-scale urban construction was carried out in Qingdao during German Occupation Period (1897-1914) as the first upsurge in Qingdao's urban development. Influenced by western architectural culture, buildings, as cultural carriers, embody the culture and arts of the specific historical period and reflect the architectural and cultural trends appeared in urban development and social evolution.

Abstract: Geographically, Romania is situated in the continental temperate zone of Europe, with severe climatic conditions: the winters are very cold (with temperatures that can reach, in some provinces or in some days, values of -200C to –350C) and the summers very hot (in the past few years temperatures were between +38 - +400C, for weeks). Not only the air temperature gradient is broad (75 ÷ 800C), but as a consequence the temperature difference on the horizontal surfaces may rise to as much as 1000C. Romania is situated between parallels 430 and 480. In a very simple/simplistic approach, it can be considered as being half way between the North Pole and the Equator, therefore the constructive components can be identified in both the Northern architecture and the Southern one. The traditional architecture aims to provide a comfortable indoor environment both during the winter and the summer season, by using local building materials. Along with the building conformation, given by the local conditions (climate, earth, building materials), the peoples interventions (from religion to fashion) are also determinant. The paper presents some building principles, constructive systems and materials that transcend traditional architecture, in Romania.

Abstract: Shanxi Lvliang International Hotel is a large hotel designed according to the 5-star standard. With careful consideration to the hotel’s connection with the reserved buildings, the project design implements an efficient integration of the hotel’s external space, which has enhanced the quality of the whole site. The design also focuses on the space quality and details with the concern of the convenient connections in the internal space of the existing constructions.

Abstract: With the construction of the urban-rural integration, Chinese township's structure begins to adjust. The changes of the site layout planning of rural schools bring a large number of vacant rural school buildings. This paper aims to study the possibility and rationality about the rural school building reuse in northwest China. The appropriate retrofitted buildings types are public buildings such as culture building, medical building or welfare building. The construction method is proposed which includes the repair, replacement and increase. Finally, the example that the rural school building transformed into the disabled care center proves the possibility and rationality about the renovation patterns. The use of this kind of renovation patterns will save construction costs, bring economic benefits and a good social effect.

Abstract: Architectural parametric design is a process to use intelligent softwares for building a series of geometric models with special mathematical relationships and to modify one unit model’s parameters so that other models are made corresponding modifications. Drawings link is very precise between all professionals such as architects, structure engineers, facility engineers and the efficiency to design and construct is improved greatly compared with traditional way. Parametric design means can generate a large number of colorful building space plastic design options for architects and owners to choose. In the future if architectural parametric design would have been prevalent, our earth will enter the era of flowing cities. This paper has mostly discussed the technology essence, technology platform, advantages and disadvantages of architectural parametric design.

Abstract: Along with social progress and people’s increasing demand for the humanistic, the existence of memorial architecture in the contemporary is particularly important. We need to explore the exact design methods of memorial architecture which can adapt to the contemporary people’s aesthetics, and successfully to arouse the contemporary people’s historical complex. This article seeks to analyze the design methods of memorial architecture about the expression of emotional from different ways.

Abstract: The birth of algorithmic modelling has made architecture breaking through the constraints of traditional Euclidean geometry truly into "era of non-Euclidean geometry space". Algorithmic modelling often uses pure numbers, mathematical rules and algebraic expressions for generating architectural art works with different styles. Usually there are two ways for algorithmic modelling: language programming and graphical. This article has discussed the design significance and operation methods of algorithmic modelling in order to inspire architects a little.
