Abstract: Magnetorheological (MR) elastomers are a branch of MR materials. The field-dependant characteristics make it have a wide prospective application. The development of MR elastomers was introduced, such as the physical model, the magnetic-induced performances and testing methods. The directions of further study were put forward.

Abstract: In laser cladding, match between the cladding powder beam and the laser beam is an important factors which directly affects the quality of cladding layer. It was conclused that the match principle between the cladding powder beam and the laser beam is that entire cladding powders are heating in effective diameter of laser beam and fall into effective region of laser beam on the substrate surface and combining with the actual match state of cladding powder beam and laser beam.

Abstract: In order to get a kind of environmentally anti-felting finishing process for woolen knitted knitted fabric, the method of microwave / hydrogen peroxide pretreatment is applied and the effect of chitosan anti-felting finishing process is studied in this paper. The results show that the application of microwave technology can greatly reduce the time of pretreatment and increase the efficiency of pretreatment; the anti-felting process of hydrogen peroxide/microwave pretreatment combined with chitosan finishing for the woolen knitted fabric is effective, environmentally friendly.

Abstract: Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations based on classical statistical mechanics allow the atom to have thermal heat capacity. Quantum mechanics (QM) differs in that the heat capacity of atoms in submicron nanostructures vanishes. Nevertheless, MD simulations of heat transfer in discrete nanostructures are routlinely performed and abound in the literature. Not only are discrete MD sumultions invalid by QM, but give unphysical results, e.g., thermal conducitvity in nanofluids is found to exceed standard mixing rules while in solid metal films depends on thickness. QM explains the unphysical results by negating the heat capacity of atoms in discrete nanostructures, thereby precluding the usual conservation of absorbed electromagnetic (EM) energy by an increase in temperature. Instead, the absorbed EM energy is conserved by QED inducing the creation of non-thermal EM radiation inside the nanostructure that by the photoelectric effect creates charge in the nanostructure, or is emitted to the surroundings. QED stands for quantum electrodynamics. Unphysical results occur because the QED induced radiation is not included in the nanoscale heat balance, but if included the physical results for discrete nanostructures are found. Examples of unphysical MD simulatons are presented.

Abstract: The reduction of oil reserves will cause the exhaustion of mineral oil. Therefore, the development of new lubricants that can replace oil-based lubricants has become the trend of the lubricant. The vegetable lubricant is excellently biodegradable, non-toxic, and renewable, meanwhile, it will not be impacted by the crisis of oil resources, and the development of new lubricants will surely become the important way to replace the mineral oil-based lubricants. The article Analysis the lubricating and viscosity-temperature characteristics of 15 lubricants, and a comparison with those properties of the mineral oil-based lubricants are performed.

Abstract: This paper introduces the application for micro-suspended system in the bleaching process of natural pigmented animal fiber, and compares the whiteness, strength, alkali solubility and subsequent dyeing property of the pigmented fiber after being bleached by traditional process and micro-suspended bleaching process respectively. The results of this study have suggested that adding micro-suspended chemical addictive in the bleaching process of natural pigmented animal fiber is able to protect fiber from damage, develop the fiber whiteness, improve the quality of the textile of this kind, and further enhance the fiber’s both subsequent spinnability and wear behavior.

Abstract: An experiment was conducted to confirm how changes in characteristics due to the porous structure apply to the electrical characteristics as the pore size decreases in polymer foam. ABS material, whose foaming process is relatively easy to control, was used to control the foaming ratio by adjusting the foaming temperature. A change in capacitance was observed as a result of the experiment. When the foam structure was analyzed and numerically recorded, it was confirmed that the changes in distribution, according to the specific volume and variation in capacitance, showed similar tendencies.

Abstract: Sorbent of CuO loaded on the support of powder activated carbon and attapulgite for flue gas desulfurization was prepared by impregnation method and characterized by BET, SEM and XRD. The results of BET and SEM showed that the sorbent had a high structural porosity, while sorbent with 20 % CuO loading had the best desulfurization performance although CuO was dispersed at the surface of carrier in a way of multilayer according to XRD patterns.

Abstract: The curing kinetics of PF resin modified with sodium silicate had been investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The kinetic analysis was performed at heating rates of 5, 10, 15, and 20°C/min,respectively. The kinetic parameters such as reaction order and activation energy were solved by Kissinger and Crane equation. The relationship between curing temperature and heating rate was also investigated. The activation energy and the curing reaction order, which were obtained by kinetic calculation, are 83.00kJ/mol and 0.917, respectively. The curing reaction kinetics equations were built by the obtained best curing temperature, reaction order, pre-exponential factor and reaction rate constant.

Abstract: The effects of internal spraying environment on the microstructures and mechanical properties of plasma spraying NiCrBSi+15%Mo coatings were investigated. For experimental analysis of spraying environment, a specialized internal plasma device and its test unit were developed. Firstly, microstructures of spraying coatings and powders were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Furthermore, the boding strength, porosity and micro-hardness of the coatings were investigated and determined separately. According to these properties of plasma spraying coating, the influence of spraying environment on the coating properties and specimen temperature could be investigated. The results show that that the coating performances decreased because of the dust, smog and high temperature of the internal spraying environment. The high-performance internal coatings can be obtained by properly designing spraying process and using the special spraying device.
