Application of New Collector RTB in Ilmenite Flotation

Abstract:

The flotation experiment of ilmenite from magnetic tailings in Panzhihua with the new collector(RTB) is investigated．The satisfactory result is obtained in once roughing-once cleaning-once scavenging circuit batch testing of flotation by using RTB as a collector，CMC as a depressant，and sulfuric acid as pH regulator. The TiO₂ grade of titanium concentrate is 46.87 percent，and the recovery is 50.77 percent with the TiO₂ grade 11.81 percent. Compared with collect(MOS) which are used in production，RTB has obviously not only advantages of selecting and collecting capability, but also advantages of costs.
