Abstract: Visual saliency detection has become an important step between computer vision and digital image processing. Recent methods almost form a computational model based on color, which are difficult to overcome the shortcoming with cluttered and textured background. This paper proposes a novel salient object detection algorithm integrating with region color contrast and histograms of oriented gradients (HoG). Extensively experiments show that our algorithm outperforms other state-of-art saliency methods, yielding higher precision and better recall rate, even lower mean absolution error.

Abstract: According to the tire structure and surface morphology characteristics, the laser vision sensing technology was used to measure the wearing condition of the tire. Scan to obtain the depth parameters of the wearing tire tread and the experimental data was compared with the theoretical data of the tire before worn to obtain a comprehensive evaluation. Based on the discussion of the composition and structure of the system, the testing method, the software control, error analysis and compensation, the measured results were further analyzed.

Abstract: The dynamic model of the eddy dynamometer used in the vehicle emission test under driving mode was identified by subspace model identification method. And the state space model was established through experimental design and model order analysis . Comparison with the experiment of lugdown test and residual analysis show that the model is feasible by subspace methods for eddy dynamometer control system. The model built by the identification method has high accuracy, it can be used for the design of the control law with the eddy dynamometer control .and then the simulation accuracy of the driving conditions can be improved.

Abstract: This study presents the establishment and instrumentation of a laboratory for investigating how different soils behave under controlled conditions in cold climates. Ground conditions are extremely important in regards to the building sector. Establishing new infrastructure and buildings require high competence about the ground/soils in order to build robust and long lasting foundations and constructions. In cold climates, soils are frequently exposed to freezing and thawing cycles, and building projects often require additional resources compared to similar projects further south. During 2009-2010, a new laboratory was established in Narvik, Norway. The laboratory consists of 4 different 6x6m bins containing different homogenous soils down to a depth of 3m. A special designed measurement frame has been placed inside each bin, which facilitates instrumentation for thermal and hygroscopic measurements. The laboratory has many applications which may lead to advances within knowledge about thermal response of soils, artificial thawing for more efficient building in cold climates, faster dehydration and curing of concrete during winter, improved road foundations and preventing frost heaves and so on. This study describes the laboratory setup and presents test measurements on thermal responses of sand, silty sand and gravel during artificial thawing using a hydronic thawing system.

Abstract: Because of convenient and price cheap, microwave therapy is an effective method to treat leukemia now. However it is quite difficult to detect with nondestrctive method and control accurately the temperature inside the purifying material exposed to microwaves. If the temperature is lower, the luekimic cell can not be killed effectively. But if the temperature is too high, the normal and cancer cell should be killed together. In this paper, the influence factors on the temperature variation in suspensions exposed to microwaves were studied so as to the temperature can be controlled effectively. The results show that there are many factors influencing on the temperature change in suspensions exposed to microwaves, and among them the influence of microwaves power is the biggest. The surface temperature was measured by a temperature sensor, then the inside temperature can be calculated according to the difference between inside and outside liquids. Further, an automatic control system of microwave power was used to control the inside temperature in an appropriate range, at which the normal cells were protected and the cancer cell were killed effectively.

Abstract: Feature subsampling techniques help to create diverse for classifiers ensemble. In this article we investigate two feature subsampling-base ensemble methods - Random Subspace Method (RSM) and Rotation Forest Method (RFM) to explore their usability with different learning algorithms and the robust on noise data. The experiments show that RSM with IBK work better than RFM and AdaBoost, and RFM with tree classifier and rule classifier achieve prominent improvement than others. We also find that Logistic algorithm is not suitable for any of the three ensembles. When adding classification noise into original data sets, ensembles outperform singles at lower noisy level but fail to maintain such superior at higher noisy level.

Abstract: In this paper, a design of FFT processor for Digital terrestrial multimedia/television broadcasting (DTMB) receiver is presented. This processor is based on mixed-radix algorithms, prime factor algorithms and Winograd Fourier Transform algorithm (WFTA). Due to the adopted in-place algorithm in this design, the area consumption of the processor is reduced, and the simulation shows that SQNR of the processor is 60.5dB on the condition that the input and output data are both 13 bits.

Abstract: In order to calculate the servo position error signal (PES) in the servo system, it is necessary to make high precision sampling and FFT calculation for the burst signal. Most designer s adopt 8bits ADC converter in the read write channel servo system of hard drive controller chip 88i6310 to cost down, and both servo system and signal system share the sampling circuit. Because of the quantitative noise disturbing during the sampling process, it is not enough to use 6bits ADC converter for the serve burst signal, and significant error exist for t he burst signal with the FFT calculation. This paper analyzed the existing servo over-sampling model via quantitative error model firstly, and provided the enhanced servo system sampling model. The simulation shows that, the enhanced solution reduces the average quantitative error from 0. 38 LSB to 0.14LSB, and improves the resolution of ADC converter from 9.5 bits to 10.8 bits.

Abstract: An efficient data acquisition system for electronic automatic transmission test, which makes use of American NI’s data acquisition card, is designed based on Virtual Instrument. The data can be collected by the data acquisition system include automatic transmission oil pressure, solenoid duty, as well as engine speed ,turbine speed ,output shaft speed and throttle degree, and so on. The key problems of the system design are measurement method of automatic transmission solenoid duty, signal conditioning circuit design and multi-signal acquisition synchronization. Test platform is North-Benz dump truck 2627K (Its power-train assembly is replaced), of which transmission and engine use respectively HD4070PR electronic automatic transmission and BF6M1015CP electronic diesel engine. The automatic transmission shift control strategy and oil pressure characteristics of clutch or brake etc can be analyzed through test data acquisition.
