Applied Research on 3D Modeling Technology in Material Design

Article Preview

Abstract:

Focusing on three kinds of 3D modeling technologies, AUTOCAD, ANSYS and FLAC3D, and their respective characteristics, and using effective interfaces of them, the paper introduced a modeling method of visual model, grid model and mechanical computation model for material design, and selectd a corresponding example using the method to make computation. Trial computation results showed the material model’s stress response under applied load: the maximum stress produced in the material model was 1.27e7Pa; the minimum stress was 1.02e7Pa; the maximum velocity response produced in the material model was 9.997e-6m/s; the material suffered no yield failure.
