Abstract: Through field visit to Hongji Monastery in Wuxiang County of Shanxi Province, a detailed investigation on its spatial arrangement and religious functions of architectures is conducted, which deeply reflects the historical inevitability of polytheism and the improvement of people’s cognition toward religious thoughts by combining reasons for the appearance of polytheism and relations between religious activities and religious architectures. This trend of polytheism gives rise to the infusion of deities from different religions in the same religious architecture, which works as a practical carrier of spiritual ballast.

Abstract: This paper deals with the use of metaphor in the architectural design of small administrative building and its new forms of environment with a practical case analysis. It also discusses the issue as to regional culture and sustainable development from both the natural and social attribute of administrative building, and how to combine various elements to create administrative building with regional characteristics.

Abstract: Now in China, 18% historic cities have started the metro construction project. Due to the lack of heritage impact assessment system in China today, the historic city protection is facing the huge threat. So the establishment of the scientific historic city metro construction project of heritage impact assessment system is imminent. In This thesis, the author studies the metro construction project characteristics and historic city protection content (Xi’an as an example). Based on these, the author puts forward the metro construction projects of different stages of heritage impact assessment content and assessment of target and use the matrix and network analysis to establishes the metro project heritage impact assessment framework in historic city.

Abstract: To solve the problem of nonuniform indoor illumination by sunlight and to meet the need of energy conservation, we design a kind of cuneiform light guide plate to transmit sunlight from outside to rooms relying on the law of total reflection. Theoretical deductions and numerical simulations are used to obtain a preliminary plan, and some issues on applications and feasibility are discussed.

Abstract: Southeastern region of Shanxi Province exist the most architectures of Song and Jin Dynasty in Shanxi. As society and religions in Song Dynasty develop, the ancient architectures were paid more attention. The article takes Zhangzi Chongqing temple as an example to explore the characteristics of construction space form and artistic value through the analysis on the surrounding environment, group combination, plane layout and artistic value. This article provides strong evidence for the future researches on architecture style of Song Dynasty.

Abstract: The paper states the developmental background of neo-vernacular architecture in China, and introduces the concepts of vernacular architecture and neo-vernacular architecture. From the four aspects, form language, material language, technology language and space language, the paper expounds the design methods and ideas of contemporary neo-vernacular architecture of China with some building examples. In the end of the paper, the author points out that we should encourage the development of the neo-vernacular architecture in China.

Abstract: To realize a higher quality sustainable building, it needs more efficient design methodology from the beginning. Through theoretical study, case analysis and interview practice, based on “the integrated status of generation and evaluation” in building design process, and improving the" sustainable performance" effectively as the core goal, a new methodology named "IMGESB" (Integration Mechanism of Generation-Evaluation for Sustainable Building) is established. Through an experimental design for an office building, IMGESB is applied, tested and optimized. Finally the authors summarized the corresponding design procedures for the framework, which consists of four basic execution modules. IMGESB is not only a design methodology, but also a kind of design ideology in architecture. It can ensure maximize the sustainable goal from the view of procedure in the design process.

Abstract: It is the starting point and destination of the planning of the new rural construction to design the new rural landscape, protect th e village environment, historical and cultural heritage, maintain the system of grass- roots belief and establish a dynamic and harmonious society. The old village should not be completely razed, and also it should not be completely changed by the city. Through the patterns of the village landscape, the ecology, history, culture of the rural landscape and the process of social life can go with continuity and regeneration.

Abstract: in view of the rapid increase high-rise buildings since Chongqing became the municipality city , the development status of the high-rise building in Chongqing was detailed, and the outstanding problems and its reasons of Chongqing city fire safety of high-rise buildings that were universal, typical and representative were analyzed, On that basis, the fire safety index system Chongqing city high-rise building was established, and take a certain high-rise shopping center as an example, the fire safety of the shopping center was evaluated which combining fuzzy comprehensive theory and the building fire safety grade was obtained. Research on fire safety of high-rise buildings in Chongqing city has important reference and suitable suggestion.
