Abstract: Research analyzed and summarized the current situation of Shantytowns of Xishan Electricity Group Co., LTD, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. Measures and solutions of renovation to the shantytown were studied and summarized, which can be used for future work reference.

Abstract: An integrated model based on ANP method which contains three major criteria, thirteen sub-criteria and thirty six factors was developed to evaluate urban regeneration project plans. To improve the traditional ANP method, a non-linear Programming equation which can be solved by the PS method was used to measure the inconsistency as well as to calculate the priorities in the pair-wise comparison stage of ANP. In addition, a DEMATEL method was employed to analyze the interdependencies of criteria/factors comprehensively. Five alternative plans of an urban regeneration project were adopted to test the effectiveness of the developed model. It was found the integrated model was feasible and effective to solve the problem of evaluation of the urban regeneration project plans.

Abstract: As producer services have the characteristics of cluster development in the urban space, rational guidance on spatial patterns of producer services by means of urban planning is able to promote the industrial structure readjustment and spatial structure optimization, and enhance the development of urban modern service industry. Based on characteristics, composition, added value and industrial chain links of producer services, this article has presented that spatial distribution of urban producer services has two patterns: cluster area and supporting center, which respectively belong to two study areas: urban master planning and detailed planning. On the basis of different cluster scales and correlations, this article also has proposed three spatial patterns: industrial parks, characteristic blocks and industrial neighborhood center.

Abstract: Viaduct is a kind of new city stereochemistry path, the accessory space of viaduct is different from the traditional two-dimensional road space. Based on comprehensive analysis to the present situation of the space under viaduct in Harbin city centre, from the perspective of urban public space to understand this type of space, used a comprehensive and in-depth summary analysis to the space under viaduct in our city. Put forward the design principle and improvement measures of space under urban viaduct aiming at Harbin, so as to provide theoretical basis in the construction of a scientific and reasonable use of the space under urban viaduct.

Abstract: Small town is a basic and important part in Chinese town system. Sustainable development of small town is significant content of the work to modernize economy. Yet due to improper micromanagement, the current construction of small towns in China is in serious disorder. And this is imposing restraints on sustainable social and economic development. This paper arguments the strategic problems about the sustainable development of small town from several aspects such as historical meaning, actuality, arrangement and structure and so on.

The paper is based on research of urban color theory,such as the color geography, color psychology, color grading planning research methods, through to make detailed investigation about the color corridor - important nodes of building color and environment color , and summarize its characteristic and problems, put forward the related suggestions of Yichang.

Abstract: Based on the ecological security perspective, because of the natural resource endowment, the industrial layout of mountain towns was combined mode of specialty agriculture and mountain tourism. According to elaborating the concept and connotation of ecological safety of the mountain town, combing the mountain town development as well as the characteristics of the mountain complex ecosystem, taking examples to analyze the characteristics of natural resources of mountainous towns and urban development in Western Hubei, this paper has researched interactive development strategy between mountain towns ecological security and tourism industry from the theory of urban science, ecology and other disciplines ,and it aims to promote development of settlements environment construction ,which is more healthy and orderly.

Abstract: The political system in ancient China based upon Confucian philosophy and the advocation of Taoist philosophy once had profound influence on the urban planning and construction in ancient China, and a relatively complete urban planning and construction system had been developed accordingly. Under the “ritual system” in Confucianism, the central axis of urban roads, spatial sequence of architecture, rigid urban layout reflected the rigid hierarchy and ethical order of the society. Taoist philosophy emphasized the harmony between humankind and nature, and highly valued the protection of ecological environment during the urban construction process. These traditional urban planning system and thought summarized the experience in urban planning and construction in ancient China. We should discard the dross and assimilate the fine essence, and develop the unique cultural characteristics of urban construction in China.
