Abstract: Based on the change of the distance function and mobile direction angle function which are from the vehicle GPS systems, a novel traffic incident automatic detection system is designed in. Not only does the principle of this method is deduced, but the properties and the experiment of this method are analyzed. With the experiment, this novel automatic detective method expresses some advantage properties.

Abstract: Considering the influence that the cycles of signal lamp have on the waiting time, a bus scheduling model is presented in this paper based on the trade-off between the cost of bus operator and benefits of passengers. In order to handle with the low efficiency brought about by the refused strategy, a new fitness function is designed according to penalty strategy, and then traditional genetic algorithm is replaced by quantum genetic algorithm to accelerate the search of optimal parameters further. The results of experiment show that the presented method is effective.

Abstract: For frequency modulate continuous wave radar, it is necessary and difficult to search the pairs of beat frequencies in an up-chirp mode and a down-chirp mode t o measure range and velocity of multiple targets. However, the inherent problem of FMCW radar is multiple targets detection. False targets can appearance because of mistaking the combination of these beat frequencies. A novel waveform named double-slope symmetrical saw-tooth wave is proposed and its corresponding algorithm is also introduced to resolve the problem of multiple targets detection for automotive anti-collision radar. Computer simulation results and theoretical analysis prove that the method is effective and practical for multiple targets detection in intelligence transportation system.

Abstract: The low level of container transportation management has affected the modernization of the logistics management information system seriously. The current situation of the container management information system in China is analyzed firstly in this paper. Then the basic RFID technology is introduced. At last the RFID application status and problems in the container transportation management are analyzed. In conclusion, the authors put forward some prospects to speed up the RFID application in container transportation management information system.

Abstract: Traffic congestion, accidents and caused environment pollution have become the common problems faced by the world. So how to improve traffic of city has become the focus of the global concern. The development of intelligent computing, Internet of Vehicles, wireless networks and so forth have provided a new idea for solving the increasing transportation issue in cities. Intelligent vehicle computing platform is key component of Internet of Vehicles. In this paper, we discussed the intelligent vehicle computing technology and proposed the architecture of intelligent vehicle computing platform.

Abstract: This paper introduces communication based train contrl (CBTC) technology, focusing on the concept of the CBTC , the CBTC system structure, and the CBTC system basic principle. This paper presents the CBTC system is composed of two parts by the train control system and wireless information transmission, the CBTC system using wireless communication technology to achieve real-time bi-directional communication in the train and the trackside equipment, through an open data communication network. Finally, data communication subsystem network architecture in the CBTC system has been studied.

Abstract: Road conditions, time for travelling and transfer information can be provided by transit information service system for the person travelling during the trip. The system can help people to select more reasonable routes, which can improve the travelling efficiency and attract more and more people using public transport. Based on the survey of transit information service in Beijing, this article will analysis the demand types of transit information. The effects of transit information-travel mode selection can be researched by ordered logit model. The results indicated that the passengers prefer static information at present. The information contains various elements for people travelling such as gender, main travel mode, average waiting time and the accuracy of transit information, demand types and releasing devices. These factors will impact passengers on selecting and changing their mode choice.

Abstract: Hybrid system is a whole system in which the discrete part and continual part interact each other. It discusses the definition and the character of the hybrid systems. Then the hybrid characters of the traffic and transportation system is described. It sums up the hybrid system methods of studying transportation system, points out the shortcomings of the current studying methods and forecasts the future studying fields and methods.

A High Performance Algorithm of Vehicle Plate Location and Recognition in Intelligent Transportation
Abstract: For the problem of slow plate location, the low accuracy of information identifying in the intelligent transportation system, a new algorithm of vehicle plate location and character recognition with high performance is presented in this paper. Firstly, the vehicle plate image is pre-processed, and then search for the edge of rapidly protruding rectangular, collect the similar trend of bilateral curve in the search area of rectangular, then selected the area with outstanding bilateral similar characteristics, so locate the true license plate which contains characters. Finally, match with the bit weight value of the multi-template by the improving neural network model, and identify the characters. The proposed algorithm focuses on the rectangular features of license plates and the important features of parallel bilateral with character, to the use of algorithm with the new parallel ectopic template removed improved the speed of vehicle plate location and the accuracy of character recognition.

Abstract: The airline-specific gate which is exclusively used by a specific airline has been applied in many airports. In this study, we follow the above consideration to develop a system analysis tool for gate assignment problem occurred in the airline industry. The system tool is embodied in an optimization design model resulted from an airline’s perspective. Numerical tests, based on the operations of a Taiwanese airline, are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the proposed system tool.
