Abstract: The Internet enables many companies to use the Web to allow customers to configure specific order options tailored to the tastes and preferences of the customers. Hence, logistics management exposes the formerly latent logistics system in the economic activities and reveals the inner connections between parts of logistics activities. Store-to-store delivery service is one of the most important delivery systems in Taiwan. The authors establish an evaluation model to analyze and describe the store-to-store delivery using sensitivity model and fuzzy cognitive map. The results obtained can be used to help the manager formulate strategies and reduce risks as well.

Abstract: In order to decreases logistics transportation accidents and improves its security level, based on the analysis of the causes of logistics transportation accidents and the logistics transportation process, along with the technologies such as information acquisition, tracking and positioning, data communication etc., the paper planned and designed a monitoring system so as to to monitor the whole processes of logistics transportation. It also puts forward a practical scheme to monitor the efficiency of braking system in real time so as to decrease some heavy accidents caused by braking failure of trucks. The system can find the potential safety hazard in time and make an early warning, thus to avoid logistics transportation accidents. It plays a significant role in decreasing accident rate of logistics transportation and protects people’s life and property.

Abstract: With the development of the information technology, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has become a hot topic in the fields of manufacturing and logistics. Meanwhile, food security becomes a worldwide problem. Food hazards can appear at any stage of global food supply chains, making it essential to define critical control points to capture the data about ingredients, manufacture and dates-certain, and provide it in a transparent manner to supply chain participants and consumers. In this article, I will analyze the current food supply chain situation and promote the literature review of RFID application in the food supply chain. And then the article will explore the questions and future research on RFID application in the food supply chain.

Abstract: Convenience stores in Taiwan have integrated e-commerce systems into their logistics systems to develop a new retail delivery model. Store-to-store delivery service is the one of the retail delivery systems served by FamilyMart.com and 7-11.com. The delivery system is complicated and risky. This paper are explores the structure of logistic for store-to-store delivery service for electronic commerce and develops a hierarchical framework and evaluation model to evaluate the logistics vulnerability of two store-to-store delivery service providers in Taiwan. With the results of the most vulnerable parts in store-to-store delivery system, managers could add resources and formulate strategies to strengthen them and reduce the frequency of the events that have higher failure probabilities.

Abstract: Asymmetric effect on the dynamical jamming transition in Biham-Middleton-Levine (BML) model with random sequential update rule is studied. The numerical simulations show that under periodic boundary condition, the system exhibits a sharp transition from freely moving phase to completely jamming phase, and the critical density is smaller than that of original BML model with synchronous update rule. For the asymmetry of system size, it can be found that the critical density is independent of the system size only when the width W and the length L are larger than some critical values respectively. Furthermore, the phase diagram shows that the asymmetric effect of the number of vehicles in two different directions plays a key role in reducing the occurrence of jam, and the underlying mechanism is analyzed.

Abstract: The methods in common use for estimating the distribution rate of passenger flow are distribution rate curve method and the function model method. Logit model method is adopted by comparison and selection. The solutions of eigenfunction in traditional model are improved. The utility function of transport product is applied instead of the traditionally used eigenfunction in the Logit model. The distribution rate of passenger transport demand for railway around operation of the passenger dedicated line in Shenyang-Dalian passenger transport market is 55.73% and 69.21% respectively, which is obtained by using improved Logit model. After the operation of the passenger dedicated line, the balance of supply and demand of railway transport product between Shenyang and Dalian can be solved combined with the investigation results of passenger flow.

Abstract: A brief introduction to originality and development of road safety audit in other countries is firstly provided in the paper. Then, the current practice of road safety audit on expressways in China is described. Also, the fators affecting the impelmentation of road safety audit are analyzed, and suggestions for promoting the application of road safety audit on expressways are proposed. Lastly, the development tendency of road safety audit on expressways is discussed and a case study based on expert experience is given.

Abstract: Highway collapse hazard is the combined result of many factors. Based on the formation mechanism of the road collapse hazard and main the factors, they are selected from three aspects of risk assessments master factor: the regional geological structure, slope characteristics, and regional environmental characteristics, also ultimately select the spacing of the joints, slope lithology, slope structure, slope height, slope gradient, rainfall (rainfall in 24 hours to ≥ 25mm of days), the vegetation coverage degree and earthquake strong eight main control factors, above all these factors, they established a road collapse hazard evaluation index system. Based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, it establishes a road collapse hazard evaluation model. Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to determine the evaluation index system of layers in index weight values. Risk index is based on the evaluation criteria. Finally, an empirical study of two highway projects instances.

Abstract: In order to evaluate the regional anti-disaster ability of highway natural disasters, this paper analyzes affections of regional social economic, regional highway natural disasters management, and regional highway natural overview. We establish an evaluation system of regional anti-disaster ability of highway natural disasters based on our main indexes, which include the investment percentage of region GDP on regional disaster prevention, regional highway disaster management, and the quantity of disasters in per kilometer. Integrated score is used as the method for evaluating regional anti-disaster ability. Grading and scoring methods for the evaluation indexes are put forward. Based on the method, evaluation model and grading methods for regional anti-disaster ability of highway natural disasters are resolved.
