Abstract: With the characteristics of large scale, complex construction procedures, surrounding environment and other peculiarity, the subway station engineering is an especially important element for the subway engineering. It is brightly and clearly significant to make an ideal risk management plan of the subway construction to reduce the accident rate and minimum the losses. By integrating the existing research findings, this paper highlighted the idea and process of the risk management. Furthermore, the method on risk management for subway station construction was presented. According to the special characteristics, the merit and pitfall of risk management about subway were also illustrated. Finally, the ongoing research directions for subway engineering were discussed.

Abstract: Vehicle emissions and their control (VEC) is an important course for majors about automobiles, such as vehicle engineering, Automobile Service Engineering and thermal energy and power engineering. In order to meet the development of automobile technology and culture the corresponding talents, the teaching method should be reformed and innovated. In this paper, the difficulties in VEC course teaching were summarized and analyzed, and the countermeasures and suggestions were put forward. The course content was redesigned and the laboratory experiment was re-arranged. The innovation training program of students was put forward. Some pedagogical techniques and evaluation methods for VEC course were proposed.

Abstract: Mainly based on Singapore’s workplace safety and health (construction) regulations 2007 and China’s safety management measures for section(subsection) works with major hazards 2009, the paper introduces and analyzes the Singapore’s safety management system for high-risk construction works, and simply compares it with the management mechanism of China’s section(subsection) works with major hazards, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) The application scopes of Singapore’s high-risk construction work permit-to-work system and China’s the management mechanism of section(subsection) works with major hazards are different, and generally speaking, the former includes more construction works than the latter. (2) The mechanisms of Singapore’s high-risk construction work permit-to-work and China’s management of section/ subsection works with major hazards are different. (3) In Singapore no independent construction safety supervision system exists, while in China it is usually required by the laws. (4) In Singapore any person who contravenes any provision of workplace safety and health (construction) regulations 2007 which imposes a duty on him shall be guilty of an offence and may be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years; in China any person who contravenes any provision of safety production law, building law and corresponding safety regulations but doesn’t lead to serious consequences shall not be liable on conviction to imprisonment. (5) In Singapore the safety assessor evaluating and endorsing the application for a permit-to-work must assume his lawful duty for his undue conducts and decisions, in China the safety experts responsible for checking the special safety construction scheme needn’t assume any lawful duty.

Abstract: Discipline construction is the foundation of school operation and the key link of a university’s development. Generally speaking, discipline construction of maritime universities can be concluded to four models: vocational education model, mutual development of practice and scientific research model, derivative discipline development model and large-scale integrated development model. Through the comprehensive assessment of the four models by the use of lattice order decision-making method with interval numbers, the advantages and disadvantages of each model are clearly shown. Taking the economic and social factors into consideration, we can see that mutual development of practice and scientific research model is the most suitable model for maritime universities’ discipline construction in China, which provides important reference value and contributes to the development of our discipline construction.

Abstract: Over last 40 years, productivity improvement has been a critical goal for the successful completion of projects in the construction industry. Recently, in Korea, foreign laborers, particularly Chinese laborers, have substituted domestic laborers. To improve construction productivity, an understanding of the characteristics of Chinese laborers is essential. Therefore, this study identified factors influencing the construction productivity of Korean and Chinese laborers, and compared their importance. Through the questionnaire survey, the importance and the ranking in three categories (economic, social, and psychological factors) were evaluated. This result will be useful for project managers to develop strategies to improve construction productivity.

Abstract: In order to solve the problem of students poor practical ability in project management who major in mechanical engineering, a teaching method with real cases to help students reinforce the vocational skills to enhance the overall quality and practical ability is presented; and assesses the students’ cognition degree of learning mechanical engineering project management in terms of level and process to establish the evaluation model and analyzes the assessment based on the survey data collected from the students. The results show that the situational teaching has obvious effect on prompting students to raise questions, to solve practical problems and to find creative solutions, it can stimulate students’ interest in study, and improve the cognition of the students in the learning of mechanical engineering project management.

The Research on Asymmetric Information Measurement in Engineering Bidding Market Based on D-S Theory
Abstract: Engineering bidding transaction market exists extensively asymmetric information. According to the information economics point of view, information asymmetric extremely easily leads to the moral hazard and adverse selection, which will cause project value can't get a real reveal in engineering bidding. Therefore, the project bidding on the trade market for the asymmetric information research has strong theoretical value and practical significance. this paper tries to use the method of evidence theory to have a certain extent measure in engineering bidding market of asymmetric information, in order to enrich the content of the bidding market research field, and provide a decision-making reference for relevant departments.

Abstract: In daily life, it often comes to such a problem that a department need to complete assignments , and there are people who are committed to achieving the tasks. In view of each person has different abilities and tasks, so the efficiency is different either .In order to gain the maximum efficiency or the minimum tine-consuming of accomplishing tasks ,there arise a question that is how to effectively assign these resources. The paper uses the Vogel method of transportation problem to solve the non-standard assignment problem. In practice, it’s more convenient and effectively to solve the assignment problem with the Vogel method than the Hungarian method.

Abstract: According to the evaluation standard for greening building, an assessment system is proposed to evaluate the green building degree. And the weights of each evaluation index are determined by AHP method. Applying the methods of expert estimations, a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is constructed for the building green degree. Combining with living examples, the green degree of a building is calculated based on this method.

Abstract: Traditional approach to cost forecasting uses a single model for the entire construction period. However, different stages in a construction project require different financial obligations. A better approach to improve the accuracy of cost forecasting is to break the duration of the entire construction project into three stages. It is the attempt of this research to improve the traditional GM (1, 1) Grey Prediction Model by defining the proper in place of 0.5. The new technique adopts the Golden Section Method to analyze the optimization in defining and build the cost forecasting model for each phase. The results show that the GM (1,1) with proper can more accurately forecast the expenditure for each month.
